Last week Europe saw one of its worst crises in decades. Tens of thousands of migrants entered the European Union via Hungary, demanding passage to their hoped-for final destination, Germany.
While the media focuses on the human tragedy of so many people uprooted and traveling in dangerous circumstances, there is very little attention given to the events that led them to leave their countries. Certainly we all feel for the displaced people, especially the children, but let’s not forget that this is a man-made crisis and it is a government-made crisis.
The reason so many are fleeing places like Syria, Libya, Afghanistan, and Iraq is that US and European interventionist foreign policy has left these countries destabilized with no hopes of economic recovery. This mass migration from the Middle East and beyond is a direct result of the neocon foreign policy of regime change, invasion, and pushing “democracy” at the barrel of a gun.
Even when they successfully change the regime, as in Iraq, what is left behind is an almost uninhabitable country. It reminds me of the saying attributed to a US major in the Vietnam War, discussing the bombing of Ben Tre: “It became necessary to destroy the town in order to save it.”
The Europeans share a good deal of blame as well. France and the UK were enthusiastic supporters of the attack on Libya and they were early backers of the “Assad must go” policy. Assad may not be a nice guy, but the forces that have been unleashed to overthrow him seem to be much worse and far more dangerous. No wonder people are so desperate to leave Syria.
More than half of the nation's immigrants receive some kind of government welfare, a figure that's far higher than the native-born population's, according to a report to be released Wednesday.
About 51% of immigrant-led households receive at least one kind of welfare benefit, including Medicaid, food stamps, school lunches and housing assistance, compared to 30% for native-led households, according to the report from the Center for Immigration Studies, a group that advocates for lower levels of immigration.
Those numbers increase for households with children, with 76% of immigrant-led households receiving welfare, compared to 52% for the native-born.
The findings are sure to fuel debate on the presidential campaign trail as Republican candidates focus on changing the nation's immigration laws, from calls for mass deportations to ending birthright citizenship.
Zach Taylor is a 27 year veteran Border Patrol agent with supervisory experience. He has testified before Congress as an expert witness on criminal activity in wilderness areas. His message is credible. He accuses the federal government in a coverup that is deliberately shielding critical information from the public.
Taylor says that whoever is perpetrating the border crisis is engaged in a perfect asymmetrical military tactic. While the American people focus on "the children," he points out that they are actually only a tiny proportion of the people crossing the border. That we are apprehending about 10 percent of the illegal border crossers, and that the other 90 percent are not children. Since only 10 - 15 percent of those apprehended are children, that means we are focused on about 1 percent of the problem. The adults that we are missing are bringing in weapons, personnel and supplies while our attention is diverted by the needs of the children.
He says a very credible informer told him that that the most dangerous crime element in Mexico City is Russian Mafia. That means KGB. Few people know this, but the Soviets entered a secret pact with Mexico very early in the last century, almost certainly with the eventual aim of utilizing Mexico's strategic position in offenses against the U.S. There is little doubt in my mind that the border crisis is an endgame strategy designed to bring in the people and weapons that will kill us. And Taylor asserts that Obama is in on the plan.
The only way to defeat this border swamping strategy is for state governments to initiate independent action with assistance from American volunteers. The federal government is betraying our country and its representatives are betraying their oath to "support and defend" our Constitution and country "from all enemies foreign and domestic."
Time for governors to stand up, seal the border and begin deporting aliens on their own. We need to get aggressive here. Otherwise Obama and his fellow communists will steal our country from us while we watch. And we are likely setting ourselves up for a terrorist attack. As Dick Cheney has warned, another attack is coming which will be far deadlier than 9-11.
Instead of making sure that U.S. employers are not hiring illegal immigrants, the Obama administration has actually signed a secret deal with Mexico to protect “the rights” of illegal immigrants in the workplace. According to this “memorandum of understanding”, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will spend U.S. taxpayer dollars to educate illegal immigrants about their civil rights, workplace safety, and minimum wage laws. This is yet another example of how the Obama administration is openly flouting the law and doing all that it canto promote even more illegal immigration. We are rapidly becoming a lawless nation that has absolutely no regard for the rule of law, and it all starts with the horrendous example that is being set at the very top.
I was absolutely stunned when I first heard about this new agreement. How in the world can the U.S. government promise to assist illegal immigrants in the workplace? This deal probably breaks a whole bunch of existing immigration laws, but nobody is doing anything about it. The following is an excerpt from the press release about this new deal…
The Miami District Office of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Orlando today with the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami and Consulate of Mexico in Orlando. The agreement establishes an ongoing collaboration between these entities to provide Mexican nationals with information, guidance, and access to resources on the prevention of discrimination in the workplace regardless of immigration status. Mexican Consul Efran Nicolas Leyva Acevedo of Orlando and Miami District Office Director Malcolm S. Medley signed the agreement. Acting Mexican Consul General Vladimir Hernandez Lara of Miami signed the document prior to the meeting today.
“By signing this Memorandum of Understanding today with the Mexican Consulate, we of the EEOC’s Miami District have solidified our continued and longstanding commitment to this underserved community,” said Medley. “This agreement provides the opportunity for ongoing education, outreach and service by the EEOC to Mexican nationals in our area. We look forward to a long-lasting and significant partnership.”
Under the terms of the MOU, the EEOC will expand its relationship with these two consulates by providing them with Spanish-language materials explaining the laws enforced by the federal agency. In addition, the EEOC will partner with consulate offices to provide information and training to areas of the state where migrant farm workers and other Mexican nationals live and work.
And of course this comes at a time of high unemployment for U.S. citizens and at a time when wages are being driven down by competition from illegal immigrants inside this country and by competition from foreign workers overseas.
This story has been making the rounds via email. According to Snopes, this is absolutely true. The email that has been making the rounds reads:
MEXICO IS ANGRY!
Three cheers for Arizona
The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from the State of Sonora, Mexico doesn't like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's almost funny. The State of Sonora is angry at the influx of Mexicans into Mexico. Nine state legislators from the Mexican State of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico.
It seems that many Mexican illegals are returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off.
A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to state that Arizona's new Employer Sanctions Law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
At a news conference, the legislators said that Sonora — Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns — cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools that it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns from the USA without jobs or money.
The Arizona law, which took effect Jan. 1, punishes Arizona employers who knowingly hire individuals without valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license.
Under the direction of a Clinton official who orchestrated the pardon of a major-league drug trafficker, the federal agency that oversees lawful immigration is preparing to legalize millions of illegal immigrants.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is getting ready for the huge influx of applications that will bombard the agency when President Obama’s plan to legalize the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens becomes law, according to a major newspaper report.
The agency’s director, Alejandro Mayorkas, says his goal is to be ready to expand rapidly in order to handle the massive increase in visa applications under Obama’s comprehensive immigration reform plan. As the Homeland Security agency responsible for overseeing lawful immigration and granting visas, USCIS is equipped to handle applications from about 6 million immigrants a year.
Illegal immigration is another one of the primary means those with a global government agenda are using to destroy the middle class of this country, which is an essential step in their plan to destroy this nation's sovereignty so they can establish a North American Union, the merging of the United states with Mexico and Canada. This totally open boarder policy has been absolutely deliberate, despite what anyone in government says to the contrary. None of what is going on is going on by accident. They will simply lie and present false arguments to con Americans into allowing it to continue.
Case in point is the argument that we must allow all the illegals to come "out of the shadows" because we simply can't afford to round them all up and deport them. It sounds reasonable. But what most people fail to see is that this is a blatant manipulation to mold public opinion to favor a sweeping amnesty policy. They are presenting an impossible scenario as if that's the only scenario possible.
It's not the only scenario possible. All we need to do is eliminate the mountain of benefits and perks for illegal aliens and they will go home all by themselves. We don't have to round them up and deport them all. If we simply enforce the laws we have on the books to hold employers accountable for hiring them, if we stop giving them all public assistance, free education, health care, food stamps, social security benefits, instant citizenship for babies born her to illegal immigrant families, etc., etc., you'll see the problem solve itself.
The fact of the matter is Mexico has more natural resources than we do. They could have a thriving economy if it weren't for the fact that criminal tyrants run their country. Mexicans need to stop coming here and demand changes in their own government so they can have a country they are able to survive in. I guarantee you, the people coming here to survive would much rather be living in their own country. By allowing them to come here, we are not doing them any favors. We are just encouraging the country to continue being totally corrupt and we are destroying our own country in the process.
The following story documents exactly how it is destroying our country.
In June, 2007 a solid eighty percent of the American people let Congress know they wanted the government to put the brakes on illegal immigration; they turned thumbs down on the President's guest worker amnesty plan; and they wanted tax-paid services to illegals stopped.
Most Americans understand that new laws are not needed to stop illegal immigration. What is necessary is repeal of some laws granting taxpayer-financed services to illegals along with enforcement of existing laws. These two acts would be enough to stop the migration. In simple fact, they are called "illegal" because they are breaking the law.
In truth, the battle over the Senate's guest worker-amnesty plan is really a battle over attempts to open the border as called for in programs such as North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). Both plans call for open borders and economic integration of North America. Open borders are required to fully implement the plans.
For all of you who have hearts so big you can't help but feel for all the poor illegal immigrants that have flooded into our country, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to take a look a what it's costing us. Here's an eye popping tally sheet.
This brief video presentation shows you in a very graphic way using gum balls to demonstrate exactly what occurs to a society wen immigration is allowed to go completely unchecked. There are immigration laws and restrictions in place for many very good reasons. And many people who want to immigrate to this country do so through the proper process because they realize U.S. Citizenship is worth the effort. I just don't get why it's so hard for so many in this country to realize that a great many illegal immigrants flooding into this country, mostly from Mexico, have absolutely no allegiance to our country and could care less about gaining legal United States Citizenship.
