In a developing story, the Daily Mail is now reporting that the very first (admitted) group of genetically modified babies have been ‘created’ in the United States. The scientists involved reportedly announced the result on the night of June 27th, stating that 30 babies were born using genetic modification techniques. Furthermore, 2 of the babies tested were found to contain genes from a total of 3 different parents. The experiment also lasted over 3 years or more according to the researchers, which may be one of many.
The ‘GM babies’ were born into women who had trouble conceiving their own children. In order to ‘birth’ the babies, extra genes from a female donor were inserted into the women’s eggs before they were fertilized. After conception, scientists fingerprinted 2 of the one-year-old children and confirmed that they inherited DNA from 3 adults — one man and 2 women. What this means is that due to inheriting these extra genes through the genetic modification process, they will now be able to pass them along to their offspring. In other words, these genetically modified babies — if allowed to mate with non-GM humans — could potentially alter the very genetic coding of generations to come.
Genetecists state that this genetic modification method may one day be used to create babies “with extra, desired characteristics such as strength or high intelligence.”
The news comes after it was previously reported by British scientists that scientists were creating human-animal ‘monsters’. Such reports highlight the fact that rampant genetic experimentation is already taking place on many humans around the world, which has led a large number of scientists to call for new rules regarding the outlandish practice. Chinese scientists have already admittedly inserted human stem cells into goat fetuses, and United States researchers have actively researched the concept of engineering a mouse with human brain cells.
Many experts are now speaking out against the announcement, including leading fertility experts and major organizations. John Smeaton, national director of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, said:
It is a further and very worrying step down the wrong road for humanity.

Biotech and other emerging technology is jeopardizing the future of the human race.
In its latest effort, Fidelity Investments is aiming to drive billions of dollars of global finance capital into the emerging field of “synthetic biology”, using promotions and social media (as in its “Follow the Green Line” ad campaign) to raise interest. Fidelity is also trying to take on water shortage issues, “personalized medicine” and has partnered with the TED Talks (along with dozens of other firms) that have become a self-proclaimed authority on where technology is going. For Fidelity, it is part of an effort to bolster the firm’s image as responsible and innovative. But is it?
Just as big money has backed carbon credit schemes and green technology, Fidelity is making a push to back ‘synthetic biology,’ which it says could be the “defining technology of the 21st Century,” though admittedly it is still in the ‘experimental phase’. In essence, synthetic biology is just another buzz term for what has already become the very controversial and dangerous field of biotech & genetic engineering.

To those of you who have been eager to hear the latest news concerning the potential release of genetically modified mosquitoes – here it is.
It turns out that the genetically modified mosquitoes could be released into the U.S. environment as early as January of 2012.
A private firm plans to initiate the release of the GE mosquitoes in the Florida Keys. Florida will be the first beta testing grounds to determine whether or not the mosquitoes lead to detrimental environmental and genetic impact. Residents in this area will also be subjected — without choice — to these genetically manipulated insects, unless the private firm decides to seek permission.
Genetically Modified Mosquitoes — An Unknown Dangerous Experiment
The first mosquito release took place in the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean in 2009. On Sunday, October 27, the release was discussed in a scientific paper by the journal of Nature Biotechnology with the report concluding the release’s success.
A second trial occurred in 2010, where 6,000 mosquitoes were released in Malaysia for further experiments. The mosquitoes are genetically modified with a gene designed to kill them unless given an antibiotic known as tetracycline. Offspring of the GM mosquitoes will receive this same lethal gene which will kill the offspring before it can ever reach adulthood. As more genetically modified mosquitoes mate with wild mosquitoes, the idea is that more and more offspring will be produced with the lethal gene, thereby reducing the mosquito population.font>

A NEW internet health craze could be putting thousands of people at risk of developing serious, long-term illnesses, scientists warned last night.
Online retailers are selling drinks and tablets containing silver nanoparticles, claiming the products boost health by killing off harmful bacteria.
The revolutionary particles are being safely and effectively used in bandages and other external treatments, but experts fear internal use could lead to a build-up inside the body, causing brain damage, liver dysfunction and blood diseases.
'Medicines' containing the nanosilver particles – so tiny that 800 would fit side by side on a human hair – are being sold for as little as £4 online as an alternative to antibiotics. The tablets, drinks and eyedrops are claimed to combat everything from coughs and colds to conjunctivitis.
Nanotechnology, the engineering of tiny particles, has boomed in recent years as scientists find uses in a variety of areas, including medicine, electronics and optics.
This is yet another example of EXTREME technology that is being used on us and the entire planet without any public debate or oversight. And, as usual, it's in the hands of a relatively small number of people that clearly can't be trusted simply by virtue of the fact that practically nobody knows about it and they are not being open and honest about what it's capable of.
All we ever hear about is that climate change is being caused by CO2, that our little carbon footprint is the cause of catastrophic climate change and that we must have the crap taxed out of us to stop it. All the while the same people are already using our tax money and messing with our climate system in massive, massive ways that are much more likely to be causing climate changes! Two ways we know about are the massive spraying of something in our atmosphere called Chemtrails and HAARP.
This film reveals HAARP is capable of modifying weather, mind control and God knows what else. BILLIONS of watts of power are being blasted into our atmosphere and being bounced back on US.
H.A.A.R.P. is a scientific research facility, located near Gakona, in the remote Alaskan outback and is a joint Navy and Air Force project. This facility is used to study the earth's Ionosphere, the electrically-charged belt surrounding our planet's upper atmosphere, ranging between 40 to 60 miles from its surface. More specifically, H.A.A.R.P. is a controversial high frequency radio transmitter, or "ionospheric heater". The military intends to use this billion-watt pulsed radio beam in our upper atmosphere, which will create extremely low frequency waves, or ELF waves. This technology will enhance communications with submarines and will allow us to "see" into the Earth, detecting anything from oil reserves to hidden underground military targets. H.A.A.R.P.'s roots can be traced back to work of Nikola Tesla, a Yugoslavian scientist, who's achievements include the Tesla Coil or "magnifying transmitter" which is still used in televisions and radio today.
While you're running around worrying about your carbon footprint, mad scientists are about to unleash a 14 TRILLION Electron Volt collider, something they admit, "is so powerful it "is beyond our ability to predict" what it will actually do.
Oh great. Well let's just have at it then! I mean, what's the worst that can happen? A BLACK HOLE THAT COULD SWALLOW UP THE ENTIRE EARTH?

In Walker Percy’s “Love in the Ruins,” the protagonist, a doctor and an inventor, recites what he calls the scientist’s prayer. It goes like this:
“Lord, grant that my work increase knowledge and help other men.Today we require more than prayers that a scientific experiment will not lead to the end of the world. We demand hard-headed calculations. But whom can we trust to do them?
“Failing that, Lord, grant that it will not lead to man’s destruction.
“Failing that, Lord, grant that my article in Brain be published before the destruction takes place.”
That question has been raised by the impending startup of the Large Hadron Collider. It starts smashing protons together this summer at the European Center for Nuclear Research, or Cern, outside Geneva, in hopes of grabbing a piece of the primordial fire, forces and particles that may have existed a trillionth of a second after the Big Bang
Once again here's a story on "REAL" environmental horrors that are right on our doorstep. Scientists are messing with the very building blocks of life and creating God-Knows-What that is entering into our environment, our food supplies, our medicine. It's totally INSANE!! And all people and the media can do is piss and moan about our Carbon Footprint - the global warming scam.

Researchers will gather in London this week to outline plans to promote one of the most audacious, and controversial, scientific ideas of the 21st century - synthetic biology.
The new discipline, established by scientists such as human genome pioneer Craig Venter, involves stripping microbes down to their basic genetic constituents so they can be reassembled and manipulated to create new life forms. These organisms can then be exploited to manufacture drugs and fuels or to act as bio-sensors inside the body.
However, some researchers warn that synthetic biology - which is accelerating at a dramatic pace - also poses dangers. In particular, they fear it may already be possible to create deadly pathogens, such as polio or smallpox viruses, from pieces of synthetic DNA ordered over the internet. In future, completely new - and highly dangerous - microbes could be made this way
This is an Informative video on HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Reasearch Program)the new weather modification and mind control Star Wars Defense Initiative (SDI)weapon of the US military. HAARP is capable of creating weather like hurricanes and tornadoes and tsunamis and earthquakes. It is also capable of altering peoples moods. From WETA TV a PBS station. Run a Google.com search for HAARP.
This story features yet another example of MAD SCIENCE. Have you even heard of this new particle accelerator? It's enormous and at full power will blast subatomic particles at each other with a full 14 TRILLION ELECTRON-VOLTS of power! As the video clip at the end of this article states:
"We have built a machine that exceeds our powers of prediction."
In other words, they don't know what the hell will happen.
They want to recreate the Big Bang for crying out loud. Oh, great idea. Just as good as blasting animal gene sequences into plant DNA then release them into the food supply. Or that nifty Antenna array up in Alaska HAARP that blasts BILLIONS OF GIGA-WATTS into the upper atmosphere.
Scientists routinely engage in reckless experiments, harnessing unbelievable amounts of energy, messing with the very DNA of life and they can't guarantee possibly know the outcomes. Let's just see what happens! It is really getting out of hand because the current level of technology allows scientists to dabble with the actual building block of life itself, which opens the door to vast implications that have never before had to be considered. And they typically act like "it's no big deal." Or as Mad Magazine's Alfred E. Newman would say, "What me worry?"
The following 27 minute interview is with a former nuclear safety officer, Walter Wagner and Luis Sancho have filed a lawsuit to stop this colider from starting up until a complete public debate and environmental study has been conducted in order to determine the real risks we all face and whether or not it's worth it. As usually, the bulk of those scientists backing this colider ridicule these two for wasting everyone's time with nothing but science fiction fears. I don't know. I personally think the questions they raise should be voiced and there should be a public debate when atoms are going to be hurled at each other with 14 TRILLION ELECTRON-VOLTS of power!
We are facing so many disasters because of insane technological advances like this. We have scientists all of the planet messing with the very stuff of life as if it's nothing more than making things with Lego blocks. The consequence to all life on this earth can be absolutely catastrophic when you start messing with the building blocks of life itself.

Mps are planning a change in the law to allow babies to be conceived from artificial sperm, a move described by opponents as playing God with human DNA.
A furious debate is building over how far to leave the door open to its use in IVF treatment, ahead of a Commons vote due shortly on the government's Human Fertilisation and Embryology bill. The legislation currently allows ...#8239;so-called artificial gametes in research, but imposes a blanket ban on their use in creating a human pregnancy.
The technique involves the creation in a lab of sperm grown from embryonic cells taken from the would-be parent. Although the science is in its infancy, it could ultimately help people rendered infertile by cancer treatment, or fortysomething women who can no longer produce their own eggs, to have children who are genetically related to them.
