Discovery: how media lies documentary film - CNN CBS FOX NEWS channel distorted contents
This eye opening long documentary film elaborates on the discovery of American media lies by comparing how news are delivered to the US population and to other countries around the world. The film provides a striking comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the ME zeroing in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for example. This pivotal documentary exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites--oil, and a need to have a secure military base in the region, among others--work in combination with lsraeIi public relations strategies to exercise a powerful influence over how news from the region is reported. Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, the documentary carefully analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the lsraeIi occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and lsraeIi colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one. The documentary also explores the ways that U.S. journalists, for reasons ranging from intimidation to a lack of thorough investigation, have become complicit in carrying out lsraeI's PR campaign. At its core, the documentary raises questions about the ethics and role of journalism, and the relationship between media and politics.
Posted October 13, 2014 Leading German Journalist Admits CIA ‘Bribed’ Him and Other Leaders of the Western ‘Press’
Udo Ulfkotte, a former editor of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (which is one of Germany’s largest newspapers), has decided to go public about the corruption of himself and the rest of the Western ‘news’ media, because he finds that this corruption is bringing Europe too close to a nuclear war against Russia, which he concludes the U.S. aristocracy that controls the CIA wants to bring about, or else to bring closer to the brink.
We have known for quite some time now that the flow of information is tightly controlled within the mainstream media system, but one graphic really highlights just how tightly controlled the information we are delivered truly is — and how a total of only 6 corporations run the show.
From Time Warner (CNN, HBO, TIME) to GE (NBC, Comcast), a whopping 6 corporations control 90% of the mainstream media within the United States. And what’s more, the amount of revenues from the tightly controlled mainstream media machine are enough to beat out Finland’s entire GDP, buy every NFL team 12 times, and fund the government bailout of General Motors 5 times. Checkout the powerful graphic below and share it with others to inform them as to how controlled the media really is:
I watched in somewhat amazement the recent news of the Justice Department's investigation of Fox News’s James Rosen which brought the entire Israeli Lobby 5th column out to defend not only Rosen, but freedom for the press. The gross hypocrisy made me sick to my stomach.
There is no group of people who have relentlessly attacked freedom of the press more viciously that the Israeli Lobby and their espionage handlers in Tel Aviv. It has been widely known throughout the entire intelligence and law enforcement community that the Zionists conduct massive and aggressive media espionage everywhere they can. The attacks on Press TV are also part of this worldwide campaign.
Rosen is not being investigated for leaking, but for running a major espionage operation here in the US. For whom? Well, like so many others he is an Israeli citizen, so I will let you guess. Rosen's investigation is a spinoff of the Murdoch News Corp phone hacking scandal that was really just the tip of the iceberg of a worldwide media espionage operation involving Israel and even the Assange case and others. The US investigation here got some early coverage and them dropped off the radar.
What has the Israeli 5th column Lobby so rattled is that no US Justice Department has ever tried to bust up Israeli espionage operations here. In the past, they always had the political fix both in Congress and the White House. They still have it with a disloyal Congress, but it seems the Obama team has wandered off the plantation.
In one of the most shocking articles that the New York Times has ever put out, a New York Times reporter has openly admitted that virtually every major mainstream news organization allows government bureaucrats and campaign officials to censor their stories.
For example, almost every major news organization in the country has agreed to submit virtually all quotes from anyone involved in the Obama campaign or the Romney campaign to gatekeepers for “quote approval” before they will be published. If the gatekeeper in the Obama campaign does not want a certain quote to get out, the American people will not see it, and the same thing applies to the Romney campaign. The goal is to keep the campaigns as “on message” as possible and to avoid gaffes at all cost. But this kind of thing is not just happening with political campaigns. According to the New York Times, “quote approval” has become “commonplace throughout Washington”. In other words, if you see a quote in the newspaper from someone in the federal government then it is safe to say that a gatekeeper has almost certainly reviewed that quote and has approved it. This is another sign that “the free and independent media” in this country is a joke. What we get from the mainstream media is a very highly filtered form of propaganda, and that is one reason why Americans are turning away from the mainstream media in droves. People want the truth, and more Americans than ever realize that they are not getting it from the mainstream media.
Astounding footage has emerged of ‘Syria Danny’ – the dubious “activist” who appears on mainstream news every week begging for a US or Israeli military invasion – in which he apparently coordinates gunfire and explosions to be staged during his interview with CNN.
As we have previously documented, ‘Syria Danny’ is a 22-year-old British citizen of Syrian descent from Cambridge. After returning from Homs in summer last year, he lived in London for a few months before returning to Syria in December, from which point onwards he became the poster child for a western military intervention in Syria, begging almost daily on CNN for the United States or even Israel to bombard the country.
The clip above shows Danny being connected to CNN for one of the many interviews the station has conducted within him over the last few months.
In Sunday's Times, public editor Arthur S. Brisbane wrote of the decision to deep-six the only candidate in the race who has anything interesting to say.
Here's what Brisbane wrote:
In a Dec. 4 column, I wrote about journalists’ reflex to impose their own narrative on a race, a dynamic that can eclipse what candidates are actually saying. Well, as last week’s Iowa caucuses demonstrated, the Republican nomination contest steadfastly resists any coherent narrative.
Early in the campaign, The Times decided to remain low key in its coverage of Ron Paul, the libertarian Texas congressman, and Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator. Their strong showings on Tuesday, following the serial derailments of other contenders, showed just how hard it is for the paper to read the plotline of this contest.
Brisbane is showing admirable candor here. Reporters do indeed have to find a way to frame a story to make it interesting to the audience.
This is one of the most obvious examples of media censorship I've ever seen. Since this was a "live" broadcast, it seems they chose this solider because he seemed like a safe choice given his huge "Never Forget 9-11" tattoo on his neck, which or course they went out of their way to highlight. Low-and-behold however, Corporal Jesse Thorsen actually has a mind of his own and started speaking the truth about these never ending illegal wars of aggression and how dangerous our overly militaristic foreign policy really is.
WE CAN'T HAVE THAT!!! So magically the technology fails.
Interestingly Jesse gets out two very goods points despite the attempt at censoring him. He says it's more dangerous to pick fights with all these countries, like Iran, and amazingly, he gets in the fact that Israel is more than capable of defending itself! HA!! You don't ever hear that on main-stream-media. Israel has well over 200 nukes. Who the hell is going to attack them?! They have demonstrated how ruthless they are so many times it's beyond belief that anyone believes Israel is in some kind of mortal danger.
As the US and Iranian governments escalate tensions in the already volatile Straits of Hormuz, and China and Russia begin openly questioning Washington's interference in their internal politics, the world remains on a knife-edge of military tension. Far from being a dispassionate observer of these developments, however, the media has in fact been central to increasing those tensions and preparing the public to expect a military confrontation. But as the online media rises to displace the traditional forms by which the public forms its understanding of the world, many are now beginning to see first hand how the media lies the public into war.
