Can you imagine participating in a protest outside the White House and forcing the entire U.S. government to resign? Can you imagine a group of randomly chosen private citizens rewriting the U.S. constitution to include measures banning corporate fraud? It seems incomprehensible in the U.S., but Icelanders did just that. Icelanders forced their entire government to resign after a banking fraud scandal, overthrowing the ruling party and creating a citizen’s group tasked with writing a new constitution that offered a solution to prevent corporate greed from destroying the country. The constitution of Iceland was scrapped and is being rewritten by private citizens; using a crowd-sourcing technique via social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter. These events have been going on since 2008, yet there’s been no word from the U.S. mainstream media about any of them. In fact, all of the events that unfolded were recorded by international journalists, overseas news bureaus, citizen journalists and bloggers. This has created current accusations of an intentional cover up of the story by mainstream U.S. news sources.
Last night at Occupy Wall Street in Times Square, Marine Sergeant Shamar Thomas boldly defended the occupiers. Sergeant Thomas calmly asked the NYPD why they aren’t protecting the peaceful protestors. The NYPD ignored his questions and continued telling protestors to leave the sidewalk otherwise “they’d get hurt.”
Then, in an epic scene, Thomas approached the line of NYPD officers who held their batons.
While many Occupy Wall Street demonstrators had been arrested for merely crossing the street, he exclaimed, “These are U.S. citizens peacefully protesting! These are the people you are supposed to protect!” The 10-15 NYPD officers he addressed dared not to touch him.
Sergeant Thomas continued denouncing the NYPD’s actions shouting, “This isn’t a war zone! I’ve served overseas, that’s a war zone! Get rid of your batons and helmets!”
After five minutes of severely and loudly criticizing the NYPD, the Sergeant walked away leaving the scorned officers behind. The few people who were there applauded and cheered.
Marine Sergeant Shamar Thomas delivered a scathing sermon to the NYPD, backing them off and furiously reminding them that the police should be there to protect the people (see photo via Joshua Paul below):
Sgt Shamar Thomas represents a major problem for those who would love nothing more than to conveniently dismiss the protesters as “stoners, losers and fringe elements.”
Detroit mother Maryanne Godbaldo is cleared of criminal charges related to her effort to prevent Child Services from physically taking her child from her home and to prevent the State from injecting mind-altering drugs into her daughter.
This story concerns events in the UK but the same cameras are being slapped up all over the U.S. as well and people are responding in kind. Government NEVER stops coming up with ways to extort money from us to fund the never ending expansion of government. Government = force! It producing nothing. It TAKES the money it wants. It takes and takes and takes. And what do we get for it? It's time to get really serious about asking that question. What the hell do we get for the enormous government we have to deal with?
Speed cameras are being destroyed in what appears to be a revenge campaign by motorists.
Two on one stretch of road in East Dorset were set alight on consecutive weekends, and four others have been vandalised in the county in the past year.
Police are investigating after the GATSO machine was set alight in the early hours of Saturday in the village of Verwood.
The area is being patrolled by teams of traffic officers in marked and unmarked cars and on motorbikes in a crackdown on motorists who are speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile at the wheel or driving without insurance.
This is an example of how life should and can be. Our society has been socially conditioned to look to the government to solve all our problems . . . but we've seen all too often that the government can't do anything effectively or efficiently. Government is primarily a wastefull, useless and corrupt burden on all of us.
We MUST shake off all the social conditioning and learn that we can make the world to be any way that we wish. WE can solve any problem, no matter how big, if we all step up to the plate and take responsibility ourselves. An incredible example of what is possible was done in the country of Estonia with it's "Let's Do It" campaign.
Campaign "Let's Do It!" - was a grassroot initiative to clean up the country from illegal waste in just one day. There was over 10 000 tons of illegal waste lying around all over Estonia and it was an outrageous plan -- to clean it all up on one day! More than 600 volunteers were working to make it all happen with only 3 full-time employees. On May 3, 2008 with help of 50 000 volunteers more than 10 000 tons of garbage gathered and Estonia was cleaned up from illegal waste.
Now if we could just get Americans to realize all the TRASH in our government could be cleaned out in one day, election day, 2010, we'd really be getting somewhere!
The producers of what I call the college course on money, The Money Masters, also put a lot of time and effort into crafting the exact steps necessary to create a sound monetary system. The following document lays out exactly what we must demand be done. The power over the creation of money and credit MUST be taken away from private banking interests NOW!!

The following article brings to light a little known power we have to combat corporations that have become far too large and powerful, corporations that have demonstrated they are nothing but a public menace and destructive to society as a whole. There are many, many mega, transnational corporations that have been caught and plead guilty to literally murdering hundreds of thousands of people, destroying our environment, poisoning our food supply, and worse and yet they are allowed to continue in business despite mountains of documented evidence that at best, they are heartless, greedy, murdering entities. This is a quote from the end of the following article that I thought needs to be read first:
Currently, the public's right to revoke corporate charters is still recognized by the courts, but attorneys general today rarely exercise this option, and then only against small corporations. Loyola Law School Professor Robert Benson, who in 1998 petitioned California's attorney general to revoke the corporate charter of Union Oil of California (Unocal), notes that state attorneys general "don't hesitate to draw this particular arrow from their quivers when the target is some small, unpopular or socially marginal enterprise." But when it comes to egregious large multinationals, Benson concludes, "They don't even want you to know about it because they don't want to appear to be soft on corporate crime."
In his book When Corporations Rule the World, David Korten, former Harvard Business School Professor writes, "In the young American republic, there was little sense that corporations were either inevitable or always appropriate." Early in American history, Americans were very much concerned about any entity achieving too much power, and so in corporate charters there were clear limits placed on: years permitted to exist, borrowing, land ownership, extent of enterprise, and sometimes even on profits. Korten notes that in the first half of the nineteenth century, "Action by state legislators to amend, revoke, or simply fail to renew corporate charters was fairly common."
Given the fact that Americans already have a history of revoking corporate charters, why shouldn't this practice be continued? Yes we did, yes we still can, and so yes let's do it.
I think it's high time we stop being victimized by the people that own and control these massive corporations. don't you? Well, we have the means. We simply have to develop the will and start doing it!

The Case for Giving Eli Lilly the Corporate Death Penalty
By Bruce E. Levine
Eli Lilly & Company's rap sheet as a public menace is so long that for Lilly watchers to overcome the "banality-of-Lilly-sleaziness" phenomenon, the drug company must break some type of record measuring egregiousness. Lilly obliged earlier this year, receiving the largest criminal fine ever imposed on a corporation.
If Americans are ever going to revoke the publicly granted charters of reckless, giant corporations -- well within our rights -- we might want to get the ball rolling with Lilly, whose recent actions appalled even the mainstream media. And with Lilly's chums, the Bush family, out of power, now might be the right time.
Here we have yet another brilliant idea for getting off carbon based fuels and moving us into a more sane future where we use clean, renewable sources of power. What could be cleaner and more renewable than AIR?
This car is being produced by the same company which a few months back invented a car that costs only $2500 new. BUT it's not available in the USA. Why is it that a gasless vehicle that eliminates the reason to buy oil from foreign countries hasn't nipped the minds of US manufacturers? How bad can this be for anybody, anywhere in the world -- except for foreign oil?
AMAZING AIR CAR!
The Compressed Air Car, developed by Motor Development International (MDI) Founder Guy Negre, might be the best thing to happen to the motor engine, and people all over the world.
The $12,700 CityCAT, one of the planned Air Car models, reaches 68 mph, goes for a range of 125 miles. It will take only a few minutes for the CityCAT to refuel at gas stations equipped with custom air compressor units. MDI says it should cost only around $2 to fill the car up with 340 liters of air!
This is another example of what alternatives are available NOW to crude oil, gas and coal. With just this one example we could completely elminate our dependence on foreign oil imports. With all the alternatives available to us NOW, our nation could easily become totally energy independent in a very short amount of time with much cleaning renewable energy sources. The only reason it's not happening faster is because the people pulling all the strings and our Congress that serves these criminals are hell bent on destroying our nation rather than liberating it.
Most people don't know the Federal Reserve is controlled by the largest private banks. They are using their control of the Fed to destroy the dollar, our economy and wipe out the middle class so they can replace it with a system and currency they have even MORE control of. If we don't shut down the bankers, the Federal Reserve, this nation is history! The Congress can REPEAL THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT and return control over our currency to "We The People." We have to take back control of Congress and DEMAND THIS HAPPEN in the upcoming election!
